Tai chi: simple, easy, and calming exercise

Life can be stressful but there’s a way to keep the stress at bay. It’s called Tai Chi. Often called “meditation in motion,” Tai Chi is a graceful, slow-motion exercising with a short series of movements to help get your circulation and muscles feel good. It’s also very relaxing for the mind. This ancient mind-body practice is extremely effective at managing stress, increasing muscle flexibility, helping with balance, and providing an easy way to have a daily moment to stop and experience moments of calmness. It helps energy flow through the body smoothly and invites emotional harmony. You don’t have to be an expert either. You can do Tai Chi outside or inside your residence. No equipment is required. The muscles are relaxed during Tai Chi so it’s pretty easy to learn and practice. Many seniors swear by it. As always, check with your doctor to make sure Tai Chi is appropriate for you or if you need the routines to be modified for your particular needs. There are many free Tai Chi lessons online via youtube. So you don’t have to go to a fancy studio or pay for lessons. Add this light and relaxing exercise to your daily routine and you’ll feel a difference.
